The mission of the Rayo Vallecano Foundation is to plan and execute a Corporate Social Responsibility policy and programs inspired by the identity of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, SAD, the founding entity. Throughout the year it carries out numerous activities in accordance with these programs and the purposes for which it was conceived.
It is the concessionaire of the Sports City that bears its name, a magnificent facility fully equipped for the practice of soccer. In addition, the Foundation organizes soccer camps, technical training, conferences, courses, seminars, tournaments, charity races and other activities related to the world of sports in general and soccer in particular.
No less important are the numerous social awareness actions carried out by our Foundation throughout the year, in collaboration with different organizations that stand out for their work in the field of social commitment. We have agreements or collaboration agreements with, among others, the Aladina Foundation, the Madrid Autism Federation, the Vallecas Children and Youth Coordinator for free time, the Vallecas Refugee Reception Center, the Unoentrecienmil Foundation, the Infanta Leonor Hospital, and many others. The Rayo Vallecano Foundation promotes reading among young people by lending books, promoting literature and organizing, in collaboration with Vallecas Todo Cultura and the Municipal Board of the Puente de Vallecas District, an annual literary contest aimed at young sportsmen and women.
One of the basic lines of action of the Rayo Vallecano Foundation, within the framework of its commitment to social responsibility, is its firm commitment to integration through sport. It has a team of people with cerebral palsy and cerebral palsy that participates in LaLiga Genuine, an official championship organized by the LaLiga Foundation for people in this group, and in the National League, in addition to other tournaments held throughout the year. The Rayo Vallecano Foundation Sports City will, during the 2018/2019 season, host the third phase of LaLiga Genuine.
Finally, the Rayo Vallecano Foundation develops a sports volunteering program for the trainers of its soccer schools. This program is supervised by the Spanish Volunteer Platform and the LaLiga Foundation. This program includes the FRV Training Classroom, an annual space whose beneficiaries are the trainers of its soccer schools. Among the Foundation’s short-term projects is the expansion of this program with the opening of a social volunteering line.
The Rayo Vallecano Foundation’s scope of action is, according to its statutes, statewide. However, and despite carrying out work and collaborations throughout the country, the center of its activity is in the neighborhood of Vallecas, in response to the needs of the place where it is located and which bears its name. Particularly relevant are the collaborations with associations and groups in the neighborhood that work with the most disadvantaged groups and people at risk of social exclusion.
